March 30, 1995It snowed today. Spring snow is always so very strange. I walked outside in the snow watching
it fall lazily out of the sky, almost arrogant that it has not yet been banished. I didn't really
think much about it until I noticed all the spring buds on the trees.
I was discussing objective reality with a friend. Why is it a snowfall in early November will be
met with delight but snow in early spring is just sad. There may be an objective reality where it
is just snow falling from the sky without anyone there to react subjectively to it. But why should we
care? Objective reality can only happen when there is no observer to filter the experience through
their own perceptions. If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it does it make
a sound? Sure it does. But who cares? Experience is the all.
